How do I log into Classlink as a student

Access ClassLink to open your school apps with a single login. You can sign in using a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Follow these steps to access your account.

Find Your School Login Page

You must locate the specific ClassLink page for your district. ClassLink does not use one universal login page for everyone.

Open your web browser. Go to the search bar. Type the name of your school district followed by “ClassLink.” Press Enter. Look for a result that says “Launchpad” or includes your district name. Click that link.

You can also visit the general ClassLink LaunchPad site launchpad.classlink.com/forsyth. Select “Use My Location” if your device allows it. Otherwise, type your school or district name in the search box. Select your school from the dropdown list. The background image usually changes to show your school logo or a local landmark. This confirms you found the right place.

Method 1: Username and Password

Most students use a username and password to sign in. This is the standard method for upper elementary, middle, and high school students.

Look for the boxes labeled Username and Password. Click inside the Username box. Type your unique student ID or email address. Your teacher or school librarian can provide this information if you forget it.

Click inside the Password box. Type your password exactly as assigned. Pay attention to capital letters and special characters. ClassLink passwords often differ from your standard email password.

Click the Sign In button. The system checks your credentials. You will see your LaunchPad dashboard upon success.

Method 2: QuickCard

Younger students often use a QuickCard. This card has a special QR code on it. You do not need to type a password with this method.

Find the QuickCard icon on the login page. It looks like a small ID card. Click this icon. Your browser will ask for permission to use your camera. Click Allow.

Hold your QuickCard in front of your device’s camera. Ensure the room has good lighting. Move the card back and forth slightly until the camera reads the code. The system logs you in immediately after it recognizes the pattern.

Method 3: Mobile App

You can access ClassLink on a tablet or phone. Download the ClassLink LaunchPad app from the App Store or Google Play Store.

Open the app after it installs. Search for your school district name again visit websit launchpad.classlink.com/fcs. Tap your district when it appears in the list. The app remembers this selection for future logins. Enter your username and password or use the QuickCard option.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

You might face problems signing in. Try these solutions before you contact technical support.

Check your internet connection. ClassLink requires an active network to verify your account. Open a new tab and load a different website to test your signal.

Verify your caps lock key. Passwords usually require specific capitalization. Turn off caps lock and type your password again.

Clear your browser cache. Old data sometimes conflicts with new login attempts. Go to your browser settings. Find the history or privacy section. Select the option to clear browsing data. Restart your browser and try again.

Use an Incognito or Private window. Open your browser menu. Select “New Incognito Window” or “New Private Window.” Navigate to the login page visit portal.id.cps.edu. Attempt to sign in. If this works, your browser extensions likely caused the problem.

Update your browser. ClassLink works best on the latest version of Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Check for updates in your browser settings menu.

Contact Support

Ask your teacher for help if these steps fail. They can reset your password or print a new QuickCard. Do not guess your password too many times. The system might lock your account to protect your data.

Start your work once you see the LaunchPad. Click any app icon to open it. You typically do not need to log in again for individual apps. ClassLink handles those connections for you.
